As a translator of English and Spanish texts into Dutch, I benefit greatly from my writing experience in journalism. I enjoy the challenge of making fiction and non-fiction suitable for a new target group.

I’ve completed the translation course Spanish at ITV University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, The Netherlands, including the minor ‘English as additional language’ (EAL).   

The target group of a translated text may not always be the same as that of the source text. Sometimes it´s better not to translate all the words literally, but instead describe or explain them. Leaving out text can sometimes also be a good choice.
